Hi, I am Christiane!
Having lived and worked on three continents, I am very passionate about cross-cultural understanding and communication. Life-long interaction with many cultures has taught me a lot about my own unconscious cultural bias, but it also made me appreciate the beauty of diversity. It makes life so much more interesting!
I would like to share my stories with you, but also show you ways how to overcome communication barriers. These step-by-step strategies are drawing on methods I have used successfully in language teaching, communication training, and courses on best practice in customer service.
My current home base is in beautiful Southern Queensland, and I am one of its 27% of residents born overseas and speaking several languages at home. As an active member of local Toastmasters clubs, I have practised public speaking and mentored new club members for almost twenty years.
As you can tell, I am living and breathing cross-cultural communication and I am looking forward to helping you connecting the cultural dots!
My core gift is helping others to explore infinite possibilities.
My mission is creating infinite possibilities by building bridges between people, communities, languages and cultures.
First step to understanding is to learn about our own choices, our own potential and then prepare to step out of our comfort zone.
